- When you (or your employees, or representatives or associates or otherwise) voluntarily disclose it to us. This may include personal data which was sent for the purposes of assessment of our cooperation, engagement our Law Firm, provision of requested services by our Law Firm, subscribing to our news, etc,
- When third parties disclose it to us for the purposes of provision of the services you requested,

- If the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of our legal obligation vested to us by the EU/Cyprus legislation including notification and reporting to government offices, their auxiliary organizations or other organizations to which the Law Firm belongs
- Provision of information and communications relating to hiring by the Law Firm, screening of job applicants and hiring decisions,
- For the purposes of ensuring of our Law Firm’s network and information security,

- In order to implement measures effective to facilitate the relationship between the Law Firms and you.

Our Law Firm is permitted to use your Personal Data :

5. Where Personal Data is stored
Personal data which is controlled by our Law Firm is stored and maintained in Cyprus.
6. Retention of personal data
Your personal information will be stored during the period of cooperation between us.
After the end of our cooperation or interaction, your personal information will be archived and kept either for 6 years or as long as it is necessary for our compliance with a respective obligations which are is subject to applicable legislation of EU and Cyprus, (such as storage requirement, book-keeping rules etc.), whichever comes first.
Information collected for advertising or marketing purposes will be stored for a period of 12 months.
After expiration of the above periods, the personal information will be erased unless we specifically mutually agree to the opposite or a longer period of storage is agreed between us in addition.
Please note, that under GDPR the further retention of the personal data is also lawful where it is necessary, for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, on the grounds of public interest in the area of public health, for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. If such event will occur, we will send to you respective notification.
7. Your rights, right to choose, right to access, right to be forgotten
You may request from the Law Office an update what of your Personal Date is kept by the Law Office.
If your data is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you can ask to have the information corrected.
You are kindly requested to keep your personal data accurate and up-to-date by sending to us respective updates.

You may object to the use of your Personal Data or data you provided to us where such use is based on our legitimate interests or in public interest.
You may request us to delete/or stop transferring or processing any of or all Personal Data kept about you or Personal Data provided to us by you.
However, once you request so you should be aware that in this case the Law Firm either may not be able to perform some or even all its obligations (depending on the volume of the request) towards you and no liability can be imposed to the Law Firm as result of such request.
We will inform you within 72 hours (if necessary, with the reasoning) whether your request is executed or we will not be able to execute your request as result of our obligations/rights to keep your data.

8. Our obligation to notify
In the case of a personal data breach, our Law Firm as the controller shall without undue delay and, where feasible, not later than 72 hours after having become aware of it, notify the personal data breach to the supervisory authority and you personally.
9. Changes to our Privacy Policy
- We may modify or revise our Privacy Policy from time to time.
- We will endeavor to notify you about major changes to this Privacy Policy, however, you are expected to periodically review our Privacy Policy which is posted on www.papantoniou-law.com for any updates.
