Margarita Papantoniou

Margarita Papantoniou graduated from Bristol University (LL.B.) and completed the Bar Vocational Course in London, U.K.

She also completed a Master’s degree in Strasbourg, France.

She worked as a trainee at the European Court of Human Rights and as a post-graduate researcher at the University of Cyprus.

She was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2008.

She is also an Instructor at the European University of Cyprus, teaching various subjects such as Criminal and Evidence law and she is currently undertaking a doctorate degree on the subject of financial crime.

She is a trained mediator and a member of the Human Rights Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association. She was also a member of the Migration Committee of the Cyprus Red Cross.

She speaks Greek, English and French fluently.

Her interests and experience lie in Criminal Law especially in Financial Crimes Law, Family Law, Regulated Markets Law, Corporate Law, Human Rights Law, and Immigration (citizenship) Law.
